Marathon results are out!

Official results are out. I finished with a Chip time of 4:06:01

I'm listed as no. 28th in the Local Women's category

Based on Chip time, I am no. 86th in the Women's Open category and 15th in the Female 25-29 age group category. I also finished ahead of 94% of male marathoners.

The bottom chart shows that I was pretty consistent for the first 30k but the last 10k really killed me.

On the whole, not too bad for a first marathon right?

Pictures from this morning's race

That's the whole morning for me!

The Marathon Day

I finished!!!!! OMG, it was a killer run. My thighs were screaming in pain after 30km. I'm glad I persevered. I thought I was heading for under 4 hours but the last 5km really killed me especially with my left thigh muscle twitching and threatening to cramp up. I sprinted to the finish, very happy to see 4 hr 7 mins plus on the clock.

Of course I had to suffer from painful blisters...

And R.I.P toenail

I had to go to the toilet so badly while I was standing before the start line... I finally had to go at around 14km. Was super relieved after that. However, the worse part was when my ipod hung on me at mid-race. Waaahhhhh such a disaster!

More pictures up later!

Race Entry Pack @ EXPO

So far away! Why didn't they have it at Suntec again? Cost-cutting?

Run 49: Upper Bt Timah Route (8.53km)

Decided to go for a short last run since the weather was perfect. I felt good all the way although my left knee felt a little tight. Hope it holds up on Sunday!
